In November 2014, Founder Mariela Reyes took a leap of faith. After more than 20 years in her career, she followed her passion for cooking and opened the doors of A-Mari-Mix, Fresh Mex Fusion — a concept blending authentic Mexican food with a Cuban flair, paired with house-made seasonal ice cream and handcrafted cocktails. Motivated by a love for bold, quality flavors and noticing a lack of true Mexican cuisine in Southwest Miami-Dade, Mariela set out to create an innovative menu that reimagines classic favorites with a fresh twist. With the support of her daughter and Front of House Manager, Vanessa Perez, the mother–daughter duo built more than just a restaurant — they created a space that feels like home. Their menu brings comfort, nostalgia, and a guarantee of freshness and flavor in every bite.
