Wine Tasting Event: In 1900, when Georges de Latour's wife, Fernande, first laid eyes on the Napa Valley land that would become the original Rutherford vineyard, she said, "Quel beau lieu!" meaning "What a beautiful place!”. We would like to bring the best of BV 1. BV Napa Cabernet ( opening with a generous burst of blackberry and ripe plum, interwoven with rich layers of cocoa bean, molasses, and chocolate-covered cherries. Subtle hints of toasted hazelnut skin lend a nutty warmth, while a streak of ripe strawberry adds a lifted, high-toned contrast to the darker fruit core. The palate is medium-bodied in density with a lively structure and freshness in acidity that emphasizes its red-fruited profile. Notes of sweet Bing cherry and red raspberry take center stage, offering a fresh, juicy palate that carries through to a long, raspberry sorbet-like finish. BV Sauv Blanc 2023 ( inaugural release of this Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful expression from vines located within the heart of the valley, offering fragrant notes of Meyer lemon, white peach, orange blossom, and bright pineapple, alongside more subtle oak notes of brioche toast and marzipan. The palate provides a focused mouthfeel up front, bursting with ripe citrus fruits, lasting in length, finishing round and rich with a luscious core of depth, vibrancy, and persistence. Blood Oath Tasting Event: Blood Oath is a limited-release bourbon series built around the art of blending exceptional Kentucky whiskeys. Each year, a new “Pact” is created as a one-time expression, bringing together carefully selected bourbons of different ages, mash bills, and finishes. Once a Pact is released, that exact blend is never recreated. We invite you to experience a journey through Blood Oath history with four consecutive and increasingly rare releases: Pact No. 4, Pact No. 5, Pact No. 6, and Pact No. 7. 1. Blood Oath Pact No. 4 A limited-edition release representing the fourth chapter of the Blood Oath collection. Pact No. 4 brings together three Kentucky straight bourbons, including a 12-year-old bourbon, a 10-year-old bourbon, and a 9-year-old bourbon finished in toasted barrels. The toasted-barrel finish adds another dimension to the mature bourbon character, bringing forward layers of oak, caramel, vanilla, spice, and toasted sweetness. The result is a rich expression that showcases the balance between mature Kentucky bourbon and barrel finishing. 2. Blood Oath Pact No. 5 The fifth Pact continued Blood Oath’s exploration of finished bourbon by blending three Kentucky straight bourbons: an 8-year-old bourbon, an 11-year-old bourbon, and a 13-year-old bourbon finished in toasted barrels. The older whiskey contributes depth and mature oak character, while the toasted finish introduces notes of caramelized sugar, vanilla, baking spice, and warm toasted wood. Pact No. 5 offers a layered profile that develops from rich sweetness into a long, structured bourbon finish. 3. Blood Oath Pact No. 6 Pact No. 6 marked another evolution in the series, combining a 14-year-old high-rye bourbon with an 8-year-old high-rye bourbon and a 7-year-old bourbon finished in Cognac casks. The Cognac influence introduces additional fruit and sweetness alongside the spice and oak of the Kentucky bourbons. Expect layers of dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, oak, baking spice, and subtle brandy character, creating one of the more distinctive expressions in the Blood Oath lineage. 4. Blood Oath Pact No. 7 The seventh chapter brings together a 14-year-old high-rye bourbon, an 8-year-old high-rye bourbon, and an 8-year-old high-rye bourbon finished in Sauternes casks. The French dessert-wine cask finish brings a different character to the series, introducing honeyed sweetness and fruit alongside the spice and structure of mature bourbon. Notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, stone fruit, honey, and warm spice come together in a complex expression with a lingering finish. What began as a family winery in Rutherford has grown into a collection of distinctive California wines, while remaining closely connected to the Wagner family’s winemaking heritage. This November, we invite you to explore the Wagner family portfolio through a tasting featuring Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, Belle Glos Dairyman Pinot Noir, and Caymus-Suisun Grand Durif. 1. Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon The signature Cabernet Sauvignon of Caymus Vineyards, crafted in a rich and unmistakably California style. Generous dark fruit leads the profile, with ripe blackberry, cassis, and plum complemented by notes of cocoa, vanilla, and oak. Its full-bodied character, polished tannins, and lingering finish have helped make Caymus Cabernet one of the winery’s defining expressions. 2. Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection represents the pinnacle of the Caymus Cabernet program and is produced only in years when the Wagner family believes the vintage meets its standards. Belle Glos Dairyman Pinot Noir Part of the Wagner family’s broader winemaking portfolio, Belle Glos focuses on vineyard-designated Pinot Noir from California’s coastal regions. Dairyman comes from the Russian River Valley, where the cool climate helps Pinot Noir retain freshness while developing rich fruit character. The wine offers ripe cherry, blackberry, and dark berry flavors with layers of spice, oak, and subtle sweetness, creating a lush and velvety expression of California Pinot Noir. 4. Caymus-Suisun Grand Durif Grand Durif showcases another side of the Wagner family’s California winemaking.
