Bourbon Barrel Retreats4814 Bardstown Road

Every Mon, Wed, Fri

4:15pm Seven pours. One unforgettable story. Are you wondering who came up with the idea and how the property transformed from a farm to a resort? This is the experience for you. This guided bourbon tasting will take you back to when Tony was introduced to Bourbon and got started in business. These thoughtfully currated bourbon pours tell the story. This is part storytelling, part bourbon exploration, and part conversation. Usually done by the Founders themselves.

A tasting designed for serious bourbon lovers. Go beyond the basics with an in-depth exploration of exceptional Kentucky Bourbon. Each Deep Dive focuses on a unique theme—wheated bourbons, high rye mash bills, single barrels, barrel proof expressions, allocated releases, or distillery comparisons. We'll discuss production methods, aging, proof, barrel influence, and why each whiskey tastes dramatically different. No two Deep Dive experiences are exactly alike. Experience Includes Five Pours of Allocated Kentucky Bourbons Approx. 60 Minutes Ideal For Experienced bourbon enthusiasts Collectors Repeat guests Anyone looking to expand their palate

Every Mon - Sun

Discover what your palate actually prefers. What happens when you remove the bottle, the brand, and the price tag? You'll begin by tasting a selection of bourbons completely blind, with no clues about what's in your glass. Without labels influencing your expectations, you'll focus only on aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, and finish while discovering what truly appeals to your palate. Once you've formed your impressions, the bottles are revealed and arranged before you in a random order. You'll revisit each bourbon, comparing what you taste with what you see, and try to match each pour to its bottle. Along the way, we'll discuss mash bills, proof, age, and how branding and expectations can influence our perception of flavor. Many guests are surprised to learn that their favorite pour isn't always the most expensive—or the bottle they expected to choose. Whether you're new to bourbon or have a shelf full at home, this experience offers a fresh perspective on tasting with confidence and trusting your own palate.
