Ox Bar & Hearth 1578 North Clybourn Avenue

Ox Bar & Hearth™ stands for warmth, reliability, and neighborhood connection — a modern gathering place grounded in intention, craftsmanship, and care. Rooted in Midwestern comfort and community, our dining experience centers on seasonal, regional fare cooked over a wood-burning hearth. The menu celebrates simplicity and quality, featuring local ingredients reimagined with elevated touches and complemented by a beverage program highlighting craft spirits, wines, and beers from across the Midwest. Located in the former home of The Golden Ox, our concept recognizes the history of this beloved neighborhood space while looking toward the future — honoring the past through a renewed focus on hospitality, craftsmanship, and connection. Designed to feel warm and inviting, Ox Bar & Hearth™ brings together natural materials, cozy booths, and gathering spaces that invite guests to slow down, share, and feel at home.
