Buono’s Pizzeria - Ocean

As you prepare to enjoy a wondrous Italian meal here at one of our three fabulous Pizzerias, close you eyes for a moment and imagine yourself in the land of romance, fabulous wines and delectable foods. That place of course... Italia! Buono's Market was established in 1965 on 15th and Gaffey in San Pedro. Francesco & Teresa Buono quickly became known for their Torpedo Sanwiches, House- Made Italian Sausage and Nonna Teresa's meat sauce. In 1967 their son Nicolaniello arrived in America bringing additional recipes from their home island of Ischia. This included his bread making knowledge which he hand kneaded and shaped. Nicolaniello began using his delicious dough for bread and pepperoni and cheese pizzas. In 1973 Nicolaniello sons, Frank and George began to work at the newly minted " Buono's Pizza". Today, Frank and George, and sibling Teresa, and Oreste and Grand-Children carry on the tradition of Buono's. Welcome to our family table. Buon Appetito!
