For tonight’s date night, we tried the recently opened ChillnChili Thai Restaurant on Bell Road in Newburgh (in the former Osaka location). We live very close by, so we were excited to have a Thai restaurant in the neighborhood! We ordered spring rolls, Drunken Noodles, and Pad Puk Rom, and everything was very good. The spring rolls were more flavorful than most we’ve had at other places around here. The Drunken Noodles were excellent, with just the right amount of flavorful sauce. We ordered them with pork, which was nicely cooked and tender. The Pad Puk Rom was also very good, although the portion seemed a little heavy on the rice and light on the sauce. Those are minor things that may work themselves out once the restaurant is fully open and plating dishes for dine-in service. We ordered both entrées mild, along with a side of chili paste sauce. Mild was definitely very mild, so I’d probably go up one spice level next time. The chili paste sauce was fantastic and added a delicious sweet heat to both dishes. We really enjoyed everything we ordered.
