Its distinctive clear bottle, gold foil neck, and rich golden color helped establish a recognizable identity both in Mexico and abroad. Today, Narragansett Lager remains the company’s signature beer and is known for being straightforward, affordable, and highly drinkable.

Recognized as America’s oldest operating brewery, Yuengling survived major challenges including Prohibition, when the company produced near beer and other products to keep the business running. Traditional Lager was introduced in 1987 and became the beer most closely associated with the modern Yuengling brand. Its amber color and fuller malt character helped distinguish it from many mainstream American lagers. Today, Yuengling remains deeply connected to Pennsylvania brewing history and is one of the most recognizable independent beer names in the United States.
