- We take reservations for groups of 1–8. Got a bigger crew? Groups of 9 or more are considered private events — head to folkdetroit.com/private-events for details! - You can book a reservation in advance and, if there’s space, up to 6 hours before you want to dine. - Walk-ins are always welcome! We'll seat you as tables open up or add you to the waitlist. - Little ones sitting on laps or in highchairs don’t need to be counted in your reservation total. - We’re hospitality-included — a 20% service charge is added to every check. Folk is a James Beard Award-nominated cafe, retail shop, and local community hub with its first location in the historic Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. Founded by the Aussie chef, Rohani Foulkes, and inspired by her hometown sundry places, she wanted to create a comfy, high-quality food and drink spot that supports local and minority retail and artists first.
