JEM is excited to announce a wine dinner with guest Chef Janine Denetdeel! Chef Janine is a passionate Chef who has been cooking in Chicago, Miami, and is proud to be a part of the food culture in New York City for several years. With over 10 years experience in fine dining, Chef JD is dedicated to specializing in Asian Cuisine and known for creating dining experiences with Chinese influences on European Classics. Chef Josh and Chef JD attended the Culinary Institute of America in Poughkeepsie, NY where they became fast friends. Through the grueling coursework of knife skills, butchery, pastry, and mother sauces (to name a VERY few), Chef JD and Chef Josh created many food memories that will inspire the evening’s menu. Dishes will include a movie theater candy themed dessert, a cannoli stuffed with caviar, and maybe they will grace us with their award winning chili! Chef JD helped Chef Josh open JEM two and a half years ago, so we are very excited to have her back to show off her skills! Reservations require a $25 deposit per person. This amount will go towards your fill bill. Dinner will be $105 per person (not including tax and gratuity). The kitchen is happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions, but we must be aware of any advance. Join us on Halloween for a meal of wine and bites inspired by the movie "Shaun of the Dead." Delicious food paired with wine from the movie! The total ticket price for the event is $85/person plus tax and gratuity. For larger parties, please email us at info@JEMdining.com and we will try our best to accommodate. Why Shaun of the Dead? Josh, Charlie and Luc love the creative spin on the classic zombie genre. This movie manages to create a world with three dimensional characters, humor, and tense moments. A true gem in the modern film world. Content Warning: This movie is rated R for violence, gore, and language This is not a traditional wine dinner or wine class. Food will be served from the bar during the pauses. The paired wine pours will be 2oz. We will have the bar open for wine service throughout the movie. If you are thirsty we encourage you to order a glass (or two) to sip on throughout the movie. The kitchen can accommodate most dietary restrictions and food allergies. Everything was phenomenal as always. I’m a regular. JEM never disappoints. Such knowledgeable and kind staff. 10/10 can’t go wrong with anything here. Chef Josh is such a wonderful person. He came out to check on us several times.
