Awakening the SHE-WOLF: A Grand Opening Art Exhibition ReceptionA Wild Homecoming or Untamed Radiance at the Threshold of Art, Instinct & Spirit Visual Art by Lisa Marie Thalhammer & Lainie Love Dalby Botanical & Liquid Alchemy by Culinary Curator Meredith Barry *** This is an open-house event—guests may mingle throughout the event space; seating is not assigned or guaranteed. Nearly two decades ago, artists Lisa Marie Thalhammer and Lainie Love Dalby found each other in the electric, unruly world of New York City’s mid-2000s art scene on the dancefloor (of course)! Since then, their lives and creative practices have carried them through profound transformations—and, unexpectedly, brought them both here to St. Louis. Awakening the SHE-WOLF: A Wild Homecoming marks their creative reunion: two longtime friends and artists returning to the language that first connected them, transformed by everything they have lived since. The She-Wolf is an archetype of instinct, sovereignty, protection, belonging, and the parts of ourselves that refuse domestication. Through wildly different yet complementary visual languages, Thalhammer and Dalby explore what happens when we return to that untamed radiance & intelligence within. Thalhammer’s radiant geometric color fields pulse with spectrum, frequency, and universal love, while Dalby’s richly layered original shamanic He(art) works from her Sacred (R)evolution Oracle move through archetype, shadow, remembrance, reclamation, and rebirth. Set within the mythic world of LOBA & LORE, the exhibition becomes a multisensory invitation to come back into the body, the wild, the sacred—and the parts of ourselves we were never meant to abandon. With liquid alchemy curated by Meredith Barry, music, art, and gathering, Awakening the She-Wolf is not simply an exhibition. It's a Wild Homecoming. Come remember what is wild in you.
