I wanted to share some feedback regarding the recent change to the first responder discount. I understand that businesses sometimes need to adjust their discount programs, but reducing the firefighter discount from 50% to 10% while, from what I understand, continuing to offer police officers a 50% discount feels unfair and difficult to understand. Firefighters and police officers both serve the community in different but equally important ways, often working long hours, weekends, holidays, and responding to emergencies when others are going the other direction. I don’t believe one group should be valued more than the other when it comes to recognizing their service. I’ve always appreciated restaurants that offer meaningful discounts to first responders because it feels like a genuine way of showing appreciation for the people who serve their communities. A reduction from 50% to 10% is a significant change, especially when another first-responder group continues to receive the original discount. I respectfully ask that you reconsider this change and either restore the firefighter discount to 50% or establish the same discount for all first responders. I believe that would be a much fairer and more consistent approach. Thank you for taking the time to consider the feedback.
