Sway's rendition of a classic Italian espresso blend. It is darker than some more modern espressos while maintaining a delicate sweetness and subtle notes of raspberry and rose. Still, espresso is espresso, it’ll pucker your lips and make your hair stand up like the best of them. Colombia | Brazil | Ethiopia

We stumbled across this coffee from the Duromina Coop while searching for a single-origin espresso. It stood out on the cupping table because while it does possess Ethiopia’s trademark berry flavors, they are a bit more subtle and intermingled nicely with a more traditional earthiness. Still, the juiciness holds up under just about any brew method and produces a balanced profile perfect for daily drinking.

Chocolate covered berries abound in this rich and flavorful blend. Equal parts Colombia and Ethiopia, dark and bright, robust and floral. It’s a coffee at war with itself, and it’s delightful. Are you not entertained?

The pride and joy of Sway's coffee roasting program. Our Guatemala comes from an organization called Misión San Lucas Tolimán, which is located in the town of San Lucas on the shore of Lake Atitlán. This coffee is grown by about 150 small family-owned farms that extend up and down the sides of the two volcanos that tower over the lake. These volcanos provide an extremely fertile environment for the coffee tree, both due to the altitude and the nutrient-rich soil. It’s an absolute gem. An ongoing experiment: O&E starts as a balanced base of Colombian coffee from the Tolima region which is then blended with whatever bits and pieces we happen to have lying around. Always good, sometimes excellent, and never the same twice. Raise a mug to those who like to mix it up.
