Adam Ben F.I really loved this place but ever since they had their grand opening, weirdly two months after they opened, they started doing things that just annoy the hell out of me. They play electronic dance music so loud that I couldn’t hear my friend talking to me from the other side of the table. They refuse to lower the music when we asked them to. The last time I was there with another friend we were sitting by the front door. It was 96° outside and we could feel the hot air coming into the cafe. Since they didn’t lower the music when I asked the last time I was there, I just got up and closed the front door thinking I was doing them a favor keeping their air-conditioning inside. Other people entered the café after I shut the door, but when the manager noticed the door was closed, he literally ran to open it. I guess in Australia if the door is closed, it means the business is closed? I don’t understand why you would have air-conditioning on and leave the door open when it’s 96° outside. The manager is also not very friendly. I purchased a gift card to use on their app, except it doesn’t work on the app. I tried explaining that to the manager and showed him that it doesn’t work, and he just blamed the Wi-Fi and rolled his eyes. I have tried to use it during multiple visits but to this day it still doesn’t work. Because of this I have to use the gift card in person, which means they have to physically take my phone to scan it using the camera from their side of the counter. The manager clearly hates this procedure because he rolls his eyes every time I tell him I have a gift card. I really wish he didn’t have the personality of Oscar the grouch. Because of these things as soon as I use up the balance on my gift card, I will delete the app and walk a little further to Blue Bottle, or Verve, or First of all, or the many other coffee shops that are in West Hollywood instead of coming to MOC. It’s a shame because I really did enjoy this place for the two months prior to their grand opening.
