Oakland Technology and Education Center (OTEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community collaborative founded in 2002 by a UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education professor and a community-based documentary filmmaker and educational program designer. Together, they built OTEC to expand access to literacy, technology, and creative expression for youth, adults, and families across all communities.
