Owlbear's Rest

Oct 20 and Nov 17

Create your own one-of-a-kind ceramic mug using slab-building techniques. In this beginner friendly, two hour workshop, you'll learn how to construct a functional mug and add beautiful surface designs inspired by nature. Enjoy the forest-y atmosphere of Owlbear's Rest, and partake of food and drink before, during, or after the workshop. After class, your mug will be professionally bisque fired, finished with a clear glaze, and fired again by the instructor. The final product will be food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. When you pick up your mug from Owlbear's Rest, we'll even fill it with a complimentary coffee or tea drink. Jenny Hesseltine (instructor) is an area painter, potter, and teacher, bringing warmth and Maine's natural beauty to her art.
