Redbreast 12 (Irish): A classic single pot still Irish whiskey — rich and rounded with notes of dried fruit, toasted nuts, and warm spice. 2. Buffalo Trace (Bourbon): An award-winning Kentucky bourbon with sweet vanilla, brown sugar, and oak, smooth from start to finish. 3. Highland Park 12 (Scotch): A balanced Orkney single malt layered with heather-honey sweetness and a gentle whisper of peat smoke. 4. Rittenhouse (Rye): A bold, bottled-in-bond rye with peppery spice and a robust, full-bodied finish — the boldest pour of the night. THE MUSIC: PK Mayo is an acclaimed Minnesota musician and a member of both the Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame and the Minnesota Rock & Country Hall of Fame. A native of Eveleth on the Iron Range, he has spent his life chasing the sound of slide-guitar greats like Duane Allman and Lowell George, performing 200+ nights a year and sharing stages with the likes of Johnny Lang, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, and Shannon Curfman. His music is a rich Americana brew — country, rock & roll, blues, and folk — anchored by masterful slide guitar and soulful vocals. His Hot Seat series puts that talent up close, with PK welcoming a rotating guest into the “hot seat” to play alongside him — this night, bassist John Wright.
