Ronnie Bee's NY Pizza 9 N Elmwood Dr

This was our first visit to Ronnie Bee’s. First impressions ? The crust is delightful . You can tell it’s been fermented and has a light crisp texture with a good under carriage. The sauce could use a little more flavor: savory , a little heat/spice , and some subtle sweetness would round out the sauce. There is lots of yummy stretchy cheese … the sausage is more authentic to a NY Pizza where it’s sliced , not in little clumps of sausage we use here in Chicago . It’s a one man show with a hardworking pizza maker behind the scenes and at the front of the house . We are pizza aficionados and would coin this pizza more of a “NY Style Hand Tossed.” Fresh, satisfying, and good quality ingredients. I would adjust a couple things here, but it’s a good quality pizza and thankfully - not from an average chain pizza shop! We will be back to try some of the other pizzas !
