Importer notes: "A deep translucent ruby in the glass, the nose is intensely aromatic with thyme, oregano and wild herbs along with a subtle lift of mint. Cherry and red plum fruit mingle with an earthy vegetal sweetness reminiscent of ripe tomato plants after a summer rain. More tart cherry and fresh tomato on the palate are followed by some peppery spice and lingering acidity. The tannins are rustic and firm but not out of place, softening a bit after a few hours open. This certainly has the structure to age several years or longer but it's so good now that it might be hard to wait."

The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Dei Comunali offers a 360-degree view onto Sangiovese with tangy forest fruit, star anise, white pepper and licorice. The oak aromas take on more prominence given this wine's baritone personality. It offers a solidly constructed finish with hints of roasted coconut or macadamia nut over a spicy mid-weight finish. It unfolds to nice balance."

Importer notes: "100% Pelaverga Piccolo. Castello di Verduno uses this rare grape that is still cultivated in Piedmont. Sourced from vineyards in the Massara and Olmo crus, in the commune of Verduno. Good intensity, spicy overtones and delicate, and a solid lingering finish."

Importer notes: "Antonelli's Trebium is an organic white wine made from 100% old vine Trebbiano Spoletino grapes. Once at the winery the grapes are soft pressed via gravity and fermented in large oak barrels, before being left to age on the lees for 6 months. Intense straw yellow in colour Trebium displays intense fruity and floral aromas that lead onto a structured and full palate. Citrus and tropical fruits, alongside almond and hint of spiciness are balanced by a seam of fresh acidity."

Importer notes: "This wine is sourced from the San Valentino vineyard in Montefalco. The vineyard is at 1300 feet altitude. The composition of the Montefalco Rosso is 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Montepulciano, all from a 50-year old vineyard. Harvest usually occurs in the final ten days of October. The wine usually macerates for approximately 30 days before being racked and prepared for the malolactic fermentation. Importer notes: “The Bianco di Ceparano is made from 100% Albana, and classified as Romagna Albana Secco DOCG, the first ever DOCG awarded to an Italian white wine. On the palate, the wine is well-structured with a dynamic acidity and lively minerality.”

Importer notes: "La Staffa, a small family-owned winery, lies in the heart of the Marche’s Castelli di Jesi region. Importer notes: “The Gricos bottling is 100% Aglianico, all estate grown, in four different vineyards in the Vulture area of Basilicata (vine age: 15 yrs). Vinified in a forward, drinkable style but still an ample, very flavorful red wine with a deep plummy color. Aged in large barrels for 12 months.”

It takes a few moments to open in the glass and then becomes very generous and expressive. Black fruit is followed by inky tar, resin and asphalt. The Titolo is tightly rolled into one firmly textured and tightly knit expression that truly blossoms when it breathes."

(93 Points: Wine Advocate) "The organic Basilisco 2017 Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Cruà opens to an inky-dark appearance with mature fruit flavors, blackberry, sweet spice, clove and crushed stone. There's a lot to admire in this complex wine, but it's also a lot to take in. The wine is brawny, bold and texturally rich. Sweet spice and cinnamon appear on the close. Given the vintage date, the tannins have had ample time to unwind and integrate. Limited release of 2,400 bottles comes from volcanic soils and some limestone at 480 meters in elevation."

On the palate, there are really lovely red fruited notes driven by cherry and cola and earth. Good balance leaves you wanting another glass.”
