    It all started out as a venture to counter feelings for homesickness for founder Tyler Phan, who opened Saigon’s Corner to the Iowa public on June 2018 in its first location in Coralville. The mission was to introduce Iowans to a hot bowl of the hearty Vietnamese soup, known as Pho—using his family’s recipe who sold Pho in Saigon for over 35 years.
