Songwriters on Skyline June 13
Songwriters on Skyline 500 is an intimate acoustic series at Shelby’s Trio featuring No. 1 hit songwriters and acclaimed artists. More than a concert, it’s an up-close look at the music, with stripped-down performances and the stories behind the songs. Johnny Clawson is a Nashville-based songwriter and artist who traded a New York City finance career for the writer's room in 2018. Since signing with SMACKSongs in 2022, the Virginia native has become a powerhouse collaborator, co-writing Blake Shelton’s record-breaking No. 1 hit "Texas" and Ella Langley’s Billboard Top 20 smash "weren’t for the wind." His credits extend to a premier roster of artists including Chris Young, Jon Pardi, Ashley Cooke, and Lauren Alaina. Beyond the writer’s room, Clawson is a rising force in his own right. His debut single "Time Is Money" reached Bobby Bones’ Top 30 Countdown, and his latest release "Lifetime" continues to capture significant industry attention. A former Division 1 athlete turned elite songwriter, Ben Williams moved from the California Bay Area to Nashville to attend Belmont University before signing with Major Bob Music. He is best known for co-writing Megan Moroney’s No. 1 smash "Tennessee Orange," which earned him Song of the Year nominations from the CMA, ACM, and People’s Choice Country Awards. Ben’s versatile catalog features the RIAA Gold single "Narcissist" (Avery Anna), Moroney’s "I’m Not Pretty," and the Billboard-charting Pop/EDM track "I Still Remember." A nominee for AIMP’s Rising Songwriter of the Year, Ben’s rapid ascent and sharp lyrical instinct have solidified his place as a premier voice in Music City, where he also serves on the NSAI Board of Directors. Doors open at 6pm | Show starts at 7pm
