Songwriters on Skyline June 20
Songwriters on Skyline 500 is an intimate acoustic series at Shelby’s Trio featuring No. 1 hit songwriters and acclaimed artists. More than a concert, it’s an up-close look at the music, with stripped-down performances and the stories behind the songs. Texas-born hitmaker Ben Burgess has built a reputation as one of Nashville’s most versatile and fearless songwriters. A multi-platinum talent, Ben co-wrote Morgan Wallen’s breakout smash "Whiskey Glasses"—a Diamond-certified track named BMI’s 2020 Song of the Year. His genre-defying pen has delivered hits for some of the biggest names in music, including Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, the Jonas Brothers, and Florida Georgia Line. Most recently, he earned a prestigious NSAI “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” award for co-writing the smash hit "Flower Shops." Known for sharp storytelling and boundary-pushing style, Ben brings a world-class songwriting pedigree to the Skyline stage. Nashville-based, Platinum-award-winning songwriter Heath Warren brings a storytelling edge to Skyline that has earned him a spot as one of BMI’s “Buzz Writers To Watch.” Originally from Albuquerque, Heath is the pen behind massive country hits including Bailey Zimmerman’s “Rock and a Hard Place” and Nate Smith’s “I Don’t Miss You.” His genre-spanning credits feature releases from Chase Rice, Josh Ross, and Waterloo Revival, with highly anticipated upcoming cuts for Bryan Martin and Roan Ash. Known for his ability to craft hits across multiple genres, Heath delivers the intimate, high-caliber songwriting experience that defines the Songwriters on Skyline series.
