I loved how it explores the way a house sounds, looks, and feels from the home’s perspective. It’s such a beautiful reminder for kids that it’s okay to leave, explore, and have adventures because home will always be there, waiting for you when you’re ready to come back. I LOVED this book. This picture book strikes just the right balance. Instead of spelling everything out, it gives kids space to ask questions and talk about what it feels like to be shy or anxious. A wise pediatrician once told me to avoid repeatedly calling a child "shy" because, for some children, it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Instead, talk about those feelings, read stories that explore them, and have conversations about finding courage when it's needed. I think this book does that beautifully. As an added bonus, it's the perfect little ghost story for Halloween—just spooky enough to be fun without ever becoming scary. It's a wonderful choice for sparking conversations, building confidence, and celebrating the season.

It's the kind of book kids will love learning about, whether in a classroom setting or at home. Perfect for sparking curiosity about archaeology, history, and the power of exploration, this book is both educational and unforgettable.
