October 2007 Doug Stumpf and Mike Touhey set out to change people’s perception of breakfast and brunch food. After following the Dave Matthews Band for over 25 years we noticed a lack of quality breakfast restaurants throughout the country. Most places they visited served basic food with few options and often bad service. Firm believers that breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. We made it a mission to convince the world of that. After a year of searching for the perfect location The Egg Bistro was hatched in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake. We focus on quality ingredients, locally sourced products and a staff that loves what they do. The Egg is constantly working on fresh locally sourced food and drink ideas for every menu as well as seasonal offers using locally sourced products. All of our locations feature rotating local craft beers on tap and an extensive drink menu featuring the best bloody Marys & mimosas in Virginia.
