The Knickerbocker Social House — Shuffleboard House Rules 18 years old or older to play. Parents and guardians may accompany minors. Pay before you play. See the front counter to rent a table. Rental is by the hour (or fraction thereof); time starts when you take the table. First-come, first-served. During busy hours, staff may put a time cap on tables when players are waiting. Hands off the playing surface. Don't touch, lean on, or set anything on the board. The finish and the wax are what make the pucks glide — skin oils and spills ruin it. Pucks stay on the table. Slide them, don't throw them. No launching pucks off the end, no walking off with them. Lost or damaged pucks get charged to your tab. Only house wax, applied by staff. Don't add your own powder, wax, or anything else to the board. If the pucks aren't gliding right, ask us — we'll re-sand it. No sitting or leaning on the table. The rails aren't benches, and body weight can warp the surface over time. Drinks off the board and rails. Use the side tables. A single spilled drink can shut a board down for the night. 21 to drink, and we card. Alcohol stays on the premises per TABC. Keep it friendly. No rough play, no gambling, no profanity loud enough to bother the next table. Management reserves the right to end your session and clear the table for any conduct issue — no refund. Kids welcome, supervision required. Minors can play, but a parent or guardian is responsible for them and any damage. Play at your own risk.
