The Copper Kettle in Moneta, VA, is an absolute gem at Smith Mountain Lake, and their outdoor patio dining experience is hands-down one of the best ways to enjoy the area. We snagged a table on the beautiful outdoor patio, which offers stunning mountain views that are simply breathtaking—especially as the sun sets over the Blue Ridge Mountains. The patio is comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for soaking in the fresh air and scenery (weather permitting, of course). It’s the ideal spot for a relaxed evening out, whether you’re with friends, family, or just unwinding after a day on the lake. The food was phenomenal. We went for the steak and shrimp combo, and it was amazing—perfectly cooked steak that was juicy and full of flavor, paired with succulent shrimp that were grilled to perfection. The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and it’s clear they take pride in their steaks and seafood. Everything was seasoned just right, hot off the grill, and served with generous sides that complemented the main dishes beautifully. Service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere felt like a cozy home-away-from-home spot, and the whole vibe made for a memorable night. If you’re in the Moneta area or visiting Smith Mountain Lake, do yourself a favor and head to The Copper Kettle—especially for that patio with those incredible mountain views and their standout steak and shrimp. Highly recommend; we’ll definitely be back! 5 stars!
