About Tom Archer's Poor Man's Country Club
Tom Archer’s Poor Man’s Country Club is a classic Midwest supper club located in the basement of the historic Val Air Ballroom. Join us for supper club favorites, classic cocktails, and a little Val Air history.
**HOURS**
Open Thursday–Saturday and all Val Air Ballroom show nights.
Doors open at 5 PM | Last dinner seating at 9:30 PM.
**PARKING**
Parking is always free for Tom Archer’s guests. On non-show nights, feel free to park anywhere in the Val Air lots. On show nights, simply let the parking attendant know you’re dining at Tom Archer’s and they’ll direct you to the designated restaurant parking area.
**SHOW NIGHTS**
You do not need a concert ticket to dine with us. We’re open for every Val Air show date, making Tom Archer’s an easy stop for dinner before the show—or supper and cocktails even if you aren’t attending the concert.
**RESERVATIONS**
Reservations are recommended, especially on show nights, but walk-ins are always welcome.
Awesome onion rings. Just like I remember onion rings growing up with supper clubs in Des Moines.
Our food was very good, and the atmosphere is comfortable. I recommend.
