Blood Oath Tasting Event: Blood Oath is a limited-release bourbon series built around the art of blending exceptional Kentucky whiskeys. Each year, a new “Pact” is created as a one-time expression, bringing together carefully selected bourbons of different ages, mash bills, and finishes. Once a Pact is released, that exact blend is never recreated. We invite you to experience a journey through Blood Oath history with four consecutive and increasingly rare releases: Pact No. 4, Pact No. 5, Pact No. 6, and Pact No. 7. 1. Blood Oath Pact No. 4 A limited-edition release representing the fourth chapter of the Blood Oath collection. Pact No. 4 brings together three Kentucky straight bourbons, including a 12-year-old bourbon, a 10-year-old bourbon, and a 9-year-old bourbon finished in toasted barrels. The toasted-barrel finish adds another dimension to the mature bourbon character, bringing forward layers of oak, caramel, vanilla, spice, and toasted sweetness. The result is a rich expression that showcases the balance between mature Kentucky bourbon and barrel finishing. 2. Blood Oath Pact No. 5 The fifth Pact continued Blood Oath’s exploration of finished bourbon by blending three Kentucky straight bourbons: an 8-year-old bourbon, an 11-year-old bourbon, and a 13-year-old bourbon finished in toasted barrels. The older whiskey contributes depth and mature oak character, while the toasted finish introduces notes of caramelized sugar, vanilla, baking spice, and warm toasted wood. Pact No. 5 offers a layered profile that develops from rich sweetness into a long, structured bourbon finish. 3. Blood Oath Pact No. 6 Pact No. 6 marked another evolution in the series, combining a 14-year-old high-rye bourbon with an 8-year-old high-rye bourbon and a 7-year-old bourbon finished in Cognac casks. The Cognac influence introduces additional fruit and sweetness alongside the spice and oak of the Kentucky bourbons. Expect layers of dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, oak, baking spice, and subtle brandy character, creating one of the more distinctive expressions in the Blood Oath lineage. 4. Blood Oath Pact No. 7 The seventh chapter brings together a 14-year-old high-rye bourbon, an 8-year-old high-rye bourbon, and an 8-year-old high-rye bourbon finished in Sauternes casks. The French dessert-wine cask finish brings a different character to the series, introducing honeyed sweetness and fruit alongside the spice and structure of mature bourbon. Notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, stone fruit, honey, and warm spice come together in a complex expression with a lingering finish. Together, Pacts 4, 5, 6, and 7 offer a rare opportunity to taste four chapters of Blood Oath history side by side and experience how the series evolved through different ages, blends, and finishing techniques.
