Haven is proud to present an evening with Jessica Gasca, the winemaker behind Story of Soil. We pour her Syrah and Skin Contact Sauvignon Blanc (Orange) by the glass, so if you love those wines as much as we do, this is your chance to meet the woman behind them. Jessica got her start bartending at a French restaurant in New York before coming home to California and working her way up through internships and apprenticeships at Santa Barbara wineries. Her philosophy is simple: farm the best sites, focus on single vineyards and single varietals, keep every lot small. Her Mexican heritage runs through her work too, including a Pinot Noir called Gracias a Ti Por Tus Manos, whose proceeds go entirely to farmworker health initiatives on the Central Coast.
