Winemaker Notes Fontaleoni is a small estate whose vineyards are located at 200 meters above sea level, the ideal altitude for growing the Vernaccia varietal. Low yields of grapes, careful harvest and pressing of this fragile grape, along with conscientious winemaking, have produced Vernaccia wines that continue to grow in quality and fame. Fontaleoni’s Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a lively dry white wine.

Straw yellow in color, with steely hues and golden rims, clean and transparent. The nose offers good intensity of aromas, with initial notes of stone fruit such as apricot and peach, accompanied by light hints of citrus and herbaceous details typical of the varietal. Located in the heart of the Mâconnais, our historic vineyard is an integral part of the region’s tourist appeal. The story begins in particular in 1660, when Claude Brosse, a merchant, brought the wines of the Mâconnais to the attention of Louis XIV. This wine-growing tradition is accompanied by an exceptional environment, between vineyards, rocks, monuments and breathtaking castles. This cuvée comes from the selection of a plot located at a place called “La Charmone”, a 25-year-old vine, on shallow soils, mainly clay-limestone, remarkable for its western exposure. The wines stay on the fine lees until bottling in April. This wine presents a greedy attack, an aromatic nose with a fruity mouth. This Mâcon Charnay “La Charmone”, in its first years, will be appreciated as an aperitif and during its maturation will accompany all kinds of terrines of vegetables, fish or cooked white meats as well as the famous small regional Mâconnais.

Light, fresh, and aromatic. Made predominantly from Schiava, this is a great holiday red from northern Italy. With bright red fruit, mild tannins, it's juicy, it's chillable and food-friendly.

An absolutely delicious Chianti

Within the domaine are the remnants of an old Knights Templar farm and an even older vestige of a Roman wine tub. The domaine was bought by Vincent's father Bernard and is focused on traditional wines grown organically. This particular wine is a blend of 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache 10% Carignan and from 38 year old vines that have all been fully destemmed after harvest. After a 15 day fermentaion in tank, the young wine is then aged for 6 months in tanks as well. The tanks are a mix of stainless steel and concrete. This classic yet easy wine has notes of figs, black olives and tobacco.

*Organic* Patrick Lambert's vines are situated in Cravant-les-Coteaux, 8 km from the town of Chinon where arguably the best wines of the Chinon appellation originate. He cultivates 6.5 hectares and today is classified entirely organic. His reds are classic Chinon. They beautifully celebrate the full fruit and deep texture of cabernet franc and along with his marvellous rosé demonstrate a light hand that allows his wines to develop their own unique character.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES: Intense ruby red with violet and purple nuances. Red fruit, mulberry, and sour cherry preserve aromas with notes of vanilla, cocoa, leather, licorice, and black pepper. Rich and full bodied on the palate, with long lingering taste and ripe, balanced tannins.

With three to five years of bottle-aging, the wine gains roundness, richness and complexity. A deep magenta, the Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is lifted and floral, with fruit verging more toward raspberry than strawberry, with dusty rose and hints of spice. Peay's second label This Sonoma coast stunner is an incredible value that is absolutely singing right now, but also has a long drinking window. The fruit that went into this delightful pinot came primarily from the Peay Estate vineyards, with a smaller portion coming from the neighboring Campbell Ranch Vineyard. The nose is really expressive with pretty, high-toned floral and more subtle black tea aromas. The light to medium-bodied palate offers vibrant, but not too ripe, flavors of fresh strawberry and raspberry and the wine finishes with excellent acidity. Winemaker Notes Classic Estate nose of black fruit, red cherry and tobacco. Bigger and broader and more generous than previous vintages due to naturally low yields, a perfectly warm vintage and increased concentration from fifteen-year-old vines. Supple and soft. Nothing out of place in this wine. It highlights the diatom structure with fine grain grit and forgiving, but long-lasting tannins. Almost decadent fruit, but it is held in check by earthy notes of porcini and dried herbs. Savory and refreshing. Dark and brooding, but absolutely buoyed by acidity and fresh verve. Sophisticated, sensual, complex and utterly delicious. A pinot noir that checks all of the boxes. Long race on the finish between silky dark fruit and a delicate dusting of tannin.

Brosseau Vineyard is planted high in the mountains of Chalone on intensely rocky soils of limestone and decomposed granite. Few vineyards in the world offer this combination of concentration and mineral tension.The 2023 vintage puts on full display the potential for Grenache from this site. It is simply loaded with fresh fruit, sweet/savory Grenache spice, brilliant acidity and a mineral lift that takes it to another level.

This is a fantastic Barbera! Winemaker Notes Intense ruby red color. The nose is extremely typical to the variety with notes of cherries and fruits of the forest. The palate also follows the characteristics typical to Barbera with a good overall balance.

Ruby-red with garnet highlights, the Casa E. di Mirafiore Barolo has a sumptuous bouquet, with clear-cut overtones of ripe plums, tobacco, mint, rosemary, cinnamon and dried mushrooms. Very dense, closely-woven tannins give the taste a well-knit sensation, together with softness and balance.

There is a winery located in Washington State proved it to be one of the best regions in the world to grow Syrah, but Alexana proves that the “other” Rhone varieties shine, and they don’t have to cost hundreds of dollars. Dark berries, ripe plum and black currants show immediately, while chocolate and vanilla from 11 months of barrel aging provide a rich and creamy palate. The tannins are soft, and the acid is polished with secondary flavors of violets, black cherry and cedar round up the flavors.

Winemaker Notes Irrosso di Casanova di Neri stands out once again for its unmistakable pleasantness and its prettiness and great drinkability. At the sight it is purplish ruby-red, intense and bright. On the nose there are spicy notes and intense small red fruits. On the palate its excellent tannic structure, enveloping and highly drinkable, is in harmony with its beautiful softness.

Winemaker Notes Aromatically the wine has a surprising burst of rose petals, paired with jammy red fruits and a hint of licorice. On the palate the wine is full bodied with dried herbs, a meaty note, perfectly ripened red and black fruit with peppery tannins.

This intense, full-bodied and distinctive wine accents beautifully concentrated black cherry and blackberry flavors with haunting hints of sage, black pepper and balsam. A firm moderately tannic texture is buoyed by good fruit acidity. The vineyard in remote Fiddletown dates to 1865

This is a relatively new addition to the portfolio of white wine specialist Ciro Picariello. A brooding red wine, the 2020 Taurasi O’ Pilota has a tart side with wild cherry and fresh plum over an inky dark appearance. There is lots of freshness here, and although the wine does boast extra concentration, the ripeness is balanced and the wine never feels overdone.

Rich and expressive, this Syrah captures the bold character of San Miguel’s warm days and cool evenings. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and plum mingle with hints of violet, black pepper, and smoked herbs. 2025 Governor's Cup Gold Medal Winner! The intent behind this Cabernet Franc is to showcase one of our unique vineyard terroirs in the Shenandoah Valley. We typically blend our different Cabernet Francs together to make our varietal wine, or it goes into the several red blends that we make, but with a new shift in philosophy we’ve decided to all showcase our individual growing sites. This is a medium-bodied wine with aromatic notes of black cherry and licorice, followed by white pepper spice. The silky texture of the fine grain tannins on the palate lead to flavors of cherry and blueberry. The wine finishes with a touch of baking spice. The 2023 growing season will go down as one of our ripest and best vintages in modern Virginia winemaking history.The large reduction in overall crop yields simultaneously helped with the increase in quality of the grapes grown.

*Organic* Pale gold with silvery highlights, the 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Seguin-Manuel opens with an elegant nose of white peach, lemon zest, acacia blossom, and toasted hazelnut, underpinned by a gentle flintiness. Sourced from old vines rooted in clay-limestone soils within Chassagne’s lower slopes, the fruit is organically farmed and hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. The palate is poised and expressive, delivering layers of orchard fruit, citrus cream, and subtle spice over a refined, chalky backbone. Acidity is bright and integrated, the mouthfeel supple yet tensile, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish with hints of citrus oil and toasted almond.

The grapes come from the Premier Cru Champ Gain in Puligny Montrachet, from a small parcel of .47 acre. Charming and powerful aromas of brioche, green apple and floral blossoms with saline nuances. The mouth is harmonious, complex and well-structured with a mineral character, bright acidity and a long finish.

Note: from a 1.28 ha parcel that comprises about 20% of the entire vineyard. This is also firmly reduced and currently revealing nothing. On the palate though there is a bit more volume and richness to the medium-bodied flavors that are fine, if not quite as fine, as those of the Charmes while displaying even better complexity and length on the beautifully well-balanced finale. Taking on wonderful intensity in its aromatics of flinty gravel stones, lime leaf, white pepper, and fresh pineapple, the 2020 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is full-bodied and reveals a core of ripe fruit without feeling blousy, with ripe Bartlett pear, a chalky texture, and a touch of almond and fresh herbs. The 2019 Tenth Stop Chardonnay was aged for 14 months in French oak, 30% of it new. It needs coaxing to reveal notes of chalk dust, limes leaves, and marzipan over a core of lemonade, grapefruit, and orange blossom. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is silken textured with seamless freshness and loads of savory layers on the finish. This comes from Joe Dutton’s (of Dutton Ranch) house vineyard, which he calls Dutton Palms. This site was originally planted in 1978, and this Old Wente clone Chardonnay was planted in 1991. Occidental – the hometown of all three Senses owners - was the tenth stop on the railroad from San Francisco, hence the name.

Made basically from Tempranillo, this Spanish red wine is complemented with a 10% of Viura (aka Macabeo). The grapes come from a 0.3 hectare plot farmed following the guidelines of biodynamic agriculture. Planted in 1910 near Elvillar, Álava. Harvested on a fruit day according to the lunar calendar, the partially destemmed grapes went into 500-litre open oak barrels, where they were macerated, gently stomped and spontaneously fermented with native yeasts. Then the wine Phinca Lali 2019 was transferred into 225-litre French oak barrels, where it was aged for 36 months. Again, this organic red wine was bottled following the lunar calendar. Château Le Puy is an estate located atop a rare high hill on Bordeaux’ right bank; it is exceptionally rare in that that it's in its 14th generation of consecutive ownership by the Amoreau family. That's not the only thing that makes this estate rare: these are classically-styled wines made with fully natural methods; certified biodynamic in their vineyards, all fermentations are native; no fining and filtering, and never SO2 before fermentation is complete. This wine is around 85% Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon completing the blend: fermented in concrete and is aged for two years in neutral wood. Le Puy is glorious proof that famous châteaus aren't necessarily where the real wines are in this famous region!

The magnificent Merlot in the blend has pushed up the alcohol, while also giving a velvet touch and power to the wine. This estate is now on top form, producing this generously ripe, black plum flavored wine. It is lifted by acidity while powering the wine’s intensity.

This is an incredible young red with precision and focus that is second to almost none. Full body with a ultra-fine tannin drive that is seamless as it is endless. It ends with such power. Try after 2024. JS 98

Blend: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc As to the Grand Vin 2019 Château Pape Clement, it reveals a dense purple hue to go with stunning aromatics of crème de cassis, graphite, lead pencils shavings, scorched earth, and tobacco. Beautifully balanced, with flawless tannins, this full-bodied Pessac has that rare mix of elegance and power, a great mid-palate, and again, perfect balance. It's one of the gems of the vintage and has some accessibility today given its purity and balance, yet deserves 4-5 years of bottle age and will cruise for 20-25 years or more in cold cellars. With an intense and bright ruby red color, the 2019 Tenuta Nuova shows notes of wild violet, eucalyptus and red currant. On the palate the tannins are round and balanced, perfectly ripe and pleasant. It shows incredible rigor and definition, characteristics that make it appreciated even now but which give a glimpse of a great future for this vintage.

"The 2014 vintage served this vineyard extremely well. Yountville is known for very open, giving wines that exude both power and grace in a balanced manner. Walking the Casa Piena estate rows, your boots sinkin to the cushioned soil and become rough-worn from all the ancient gravel that is found throughout the vineyard. Winemaker Notes Deep impenetrable ruby with violet reflections. This Lagrein selection is a multifaceted wine. It reveals aromas reminiscent of morello cherry and bilberry, with notes of licorice, coffee beans, vanilla, clove and black tea, which makes it spicy and fruity at the same time.
