MAKfam is owned by husband and wife duo Chef Kenneth Wan and Doris Yuen. We serve Chinese food inspired by our third-culture upbringing and our experiences growing up Chinese American in the east coast. We don’t claim our food as traditional or “authentic.” We cook the food we love, drawing from what we grew up eating and how we like to eat today. At MAKfam we are unapologetic about using MSG and we are outspoken about challenging the stigma around it. MAKfam is a three-time Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, and Chef Kenneth is a three-time James Beard Foundation semifinalist.
