THROWBACK DRAFT NIGHT
Event by Owlbear's Rest
This is a 16+ event, for any level of player. Tickets are $25, and include your drafted deck.
Are you tired of super expensive Magic cards? Cards with 6 different keywords? Games that end on turn 3? Do you long for a time when cards made sense and Grizzly Bears were playable? Come try our… M:tG THROWBACK DRAFT NIGHT! Owlbear’s Rest will be hosting custom vintage draft nights! Each event will focus on a specific set, and cards of any rarity can be included but none will be over $1 in value. We’d like to recreate the experience of Magic as it was played at kitchen tables in the mid 90s and early 2000s. This is also a great way to learn the game with less complex mechanics and cards! • Players will keep all the cards they draft at the end of the night! • No sleeves allowed. We’ll be playing cardboard straight on the table, as Nichol Bolas taught us! • No prior drafting experience is needed • New players welcome, we are happy to teach the game For the inaugural event, we will be drafting MIRAGE from 1996!
