    Neighborhood Italian food in Lower East Side! In 2008, Stefano Callegari, a renowned Roma pizza-maker, began experimenting in his kitchen and came up with a novel way to serve some of his favorite local dishes for on-the-go. He took his Nonna's saucey-favorites and served them in a 'pocket' of naturally fermented pizza dough. He named his creation TRAPIZZINO, giving the Eternal City a street food it could call its own. In 2017, the U.S. got its first store right here in NYC!
